tiṅartha तिङर्थ

Definition: senses possessed by the personal endings of verbs, viz. कारक (कर्ता or कर्म) संख्या and काल. For details see Vaiyakaranabhusanasara. तिङ्निघात the grave accent for the whole word (सर्वेनिघात्) generally possessed by a verbal form when it is preceded by a word form which is not a verb; cf. तिङतिङ: P. VIII. 1.28.
