taṅ तङ्
Definition: a short term used for the nine personal endings of the Atmanepada viz. त,अाताम्...महिङ् which are themselves termed Atmanepada; cf. तङानौ अात्मनेपदम् P. 1.4. 100 (2) the personal-ending त of the 2nd pers. pl. (substituted for थ by III.4 101) looked upon as तङ् sometimes, when it is lengthened in the Vedic Literature: cf. तङिति थादेशस्य ङित्त्वपक्षे ग्रहणम् । भरता जातवेदसम् Kas. on P. VI. 3. 133.
