Grammatical Sūtra: हैहेप्रयोगे हैहयोः haiheprayoge haihayoḥ

Description:

When the words ((hai)) and ((he)) are employed, in addressing a person from a distance, there the ((hai)) and ((he)) alone get the pluta and the accent. Source: Aṣṭādhyāyī 2.0

When the particle /hai/ or /he/ is used [in a call from afar 84, a prolated vowel which is high-pitched replaces the syllable beginning with the last vowel of an utterance 82] haí or hé.
