pacetām, paceyuḥ iti. atra usyapadāntāt 6-1-96 iti pararūpaṃ bādhitam. ataḥ iti
kim? cinuyāt. sunuyāt. taparakaraṇam kim? yāyāt. sārvadhātuka ityeva,
cikīrṣyāt. nanu ca ato lopaḥ 6-4-48 ityanena atra bhavitavyam, pacetityatra api
hi tarhi ato dīrgho yañi 7-3-101 iti dīrghatvena bhavitavyam, tadanena avaśyaṃ

"syādetadevam()" ityādi. yadi ca dīrghatvaṃ "turustunnamyamaḥ sārvadhātuke" 7.3.95 ityataḥ sārvadhātukagrahaṇamanuvattyaṃ vidhīyate, tataśca syādetadevaṃ yaduktavānasi; iyādeśasyānavakāśatvāt(). atha "bhūsuvostiṅi" 7.3.88 iti tiṅgrahaṇamanuvarttya vidhīyate, tadā tiṅmātramabhāvi dīrghatvamiti liṅ? vidhīyamāna ityādeśe nāprāpte tasminnayamārabhyate, tataśca "yena nāprāpti" (vyā.pa.49) nyāyena tasyaiva bādhako bhavati, na tvato lopasya. iyo'to lope prāpte cāprāpte'yamārabhyate. ārdhadhātuke hi prāpte sārvadhātuke tvaprāpte.
