śravaṇaprāptau tannivṛttyarthaṃ satukkagrahaṇam. tatra cakārasya śakāre sati
nimittā'bhāvādeva tuko'pi nivṛttisiddheḥ satukkagrahaṇaṃ vyarthamāpadyamānam
`nimittāpāye' ityasyā'nityatāṃ jñāpayatītyarthaḥ.
prakṛtipratyāpattivacanādveti. `hanaśca vadhaḥ' iti hanadhātorappratyaye
prakṛtervadhādeśe vadhaśabdaḥ. kaṃsavadhamācaṣṭe kaṃsaṃ ghātayatītyādau
`ākhyānātkṛtastadācaṣṭe kṛllukprakṛtipratyāpatti'rityappratyayasya luki
prakṛtervadhādeśanivṛttirvihitā. tatra kṛto luki nimittā'pāyādeva
vadhādyādeśanivṛttisiddheḥ prakṛtipratyāpattivacanaṃ vyarthamāpadyamānaṃ
`nimittāpāye' ityasya anityatāṃ jñāpayatītyarthaḥ. yadyapyatra vadhaśabde
appratyayo vadhādeśaśca yugapadvihito, natu pratyaye pare, tathāpi saṃniyogaśiṣṭatvāt
pratyayasya nimittatvaṃ paryavasānagatyeti bodhyam. vastutastu puṣyayogaṃ jānāti
puṣyeṇa yojayatītyetatsādhake `puṣyayoge jñī'ti vacane
bhāṣyoktaprakṛtipratyāpattirityanuvṛttiriha jñāpikā. tatra hi `cajo'riti ghiti
parataḥ kutvam. anyathā kṛlluki nimittā'pāyaparibhāṣayaiva kutvanivṛttau kiṃ
prakṛtipratyāpattyanuvṛttyeti śabdenduśekhare vistaraḥ. atha `iṅ adhyayane' `ṭu o
\ufffdiā gativṛddhyoḥ' ityābhyāṃ ṇyantābhyāṃ sani viśeṣamāha– ṇau ceti. `ṇau ca
saṃścaṅo'riti sūtraṃ dvitīyasya caturthe pāde, ṣaṣṭhasya prathame pāde ca sthitam.
`sanpare caṅpare ca ṇau iṅo gāṅ ve'ti prathamasyārthaḥ. `sanpare caṅpare ca ṇau
\ufffdāyateḥ saṃprasāraṇaṃ ve'ta#i dvitīyasyārthaḥ. prathamasūtreṇa iṅo gāṅ,
dvitīyasūtreṇa \ufffdāyateḥ samprasāraṇamityubhayamapi pākṣikaṃ bhavatītyarthaḥ.
adhijigāpayiṣatīti. iṅo ṇau vivakṣite gāṅi puki gāpītyasmātsani rūpam. `ṇau ca
saṃścaṅo'riti gāṅvidhau viṣayasaptamīti prāgevoktam. gāṅabhāve āha– adhyāpipayiṣatīti.
`krīṅjīnāṃ ṇau'ityāttve puk. śi\ufffdāāyatayiṣatīti. \ufffdiādhātorṇau
vṛddhāvāyādeśe \ufffdāāyi ityasmātsani saṃprasāraṇā'bhāve rūpam. saṃprasāraṇapakṣe
āha– śuśāvayiṣatīti. ṇyantātsani iṭi \ufffdiā i isa iti stite `saṃprasāraṇaṃ
tadāśrayaṃ ca kāryaṃ balava'diti vacanātprathamaṃ saṃprasāraṇaṃ saṃprasāraṇaṃ pūrvarūpam. `śu'
itsya dvitve uttarakhaṇḍe ukārasya vṛddhyādeśau, ṇico guṇā'yādeśāviti bhāvaḥ. nanu
paratvāddvitvāt prāgeva ukārasya vṛddhyāvādeśayoḥ kṛtayorhāvityasya dvitve
abhyāsasyā'ta ittve ikāra eva śrūyetetyata āha- ṇau dvitvāditi. pusphārayiṣatīti.
sphurateḥ ṇyantātsani iṭi `cisphurorṇau' ityasmāt prāgeva sphurityasya
dvitvam, dvitve kārye ṇāvaca ādeśasya niṣedhāt. `o, puyaṇjī'ti ittvaṃ tu na,
phakārasya sakāreṇa vyavahitatayā pavargaparatvā'bhāt. cukṣāvayiṣatīti.
kṣudhātorṇnaytātsani iṭi `kṣu'ityasya dvitvam. pariniṣṭhite rūpe
avarṇaparatvena ṇāvaca ādeśasya niṣedhāditi bhāvaḥ. oḥ puyaṇiti.
hetumaṇṇicprakriyāyāmidaṃ vyākhyātamapi smāryate. pipāvayiṣatītyādi. pū, bhū,
yū, ru, lū, ju ebhyo ṇynatebhyaḥ sani iṭi dvitve kāryeṇāvaca ādeśaniṣedhāt
uvarṇāntānāmeva dvitve abhyāsovarṇasya ittvamiti bhāvaḥ. juḥ sautro dhātuḥ,
`jucaṅkramye'tyatroktaḥ. atha `ruāvati śṛṇotī'ti sūtraṃ hetumaṇṇicprakriyāyāṃ
vyākhyātaṃ smārayati– ruāvatītīttvaṃ veti. śuśrūṣate iti. `jñāśrusmṛdṛśāṃ
sanaḥ'ityātmanepadam. stautiṇyoreva. `ṣaṇī'ti kṛtaṣatvasya sano grahaṇam. `apadāntasya
mūrdhanyaḥ' ityadhikṛtam, `iṇko'riti ca. tatra kugrahamaṃ nivartate, asaṃbhavāt.
ṇigrahaṇena tadantagrahaṇam. `saheḥ sāḍaḥ saḥ' ityataḥ sa iti ṣaṣṭha\ufffdntamanuvartate.
tadāha– abhyāseṇa ityādi. ṣabhūte iti. ṣakāraṃ prāpte sanītyarthaḥ. nānyatreti.
abhyāseṇaḥ parasyacetsasya ṣatvaṃ tarhi stautiṇyantayorevetyarthaḥ. na ca
`ādeśapratyayayo'rityeva siddhe ārambhasāmathryādeva niyamalābhādevakāro vyartha iti
śaṅkyaṃ, ṣaṇyeveti niyamanirasanārthatvāt. `ṣaṇyeva#e'ti niyame sati tuṣṭāvetyatra
ṣatvā'nāpatteḥ. stauterudāharati– tuṣṭūṣatīti. `ajjhane'ti dīrghaḥ.
ṇyantasyodāhariṣyannāha– dyutīti. uttvamiti. vakārasya saṃprasāraṇamukāra
ityarthaḥ. suṣvāpayiṣatīti. svaperṇau upadhāvṛddhausvāpi ityasmātsani iṭi vakārasya
saṃprasārame sup ityasya dvitva ṇerguṇe ayādeśe sanaḥ ṣatve abhyāseṇaḥ parasya
ṣatvamiti bhāvaḥ. siṣādhayiṣatīti. ?trāpi ṇyantatvādabhyāseṇaḥ parasya ṣatvamiti bhāvaḥ.
sisikṣatīti. sektumicchatītyarthaḥ. sicdhātoḥ san. `halantācce'ti kittvānna
laghūpadhaguṇaḥ. `abhyāseṇaḥ parasya sasya cet ṣatvaṃ, tarhi stautiṇyoreve'ti niyamānna ṣa
iti bhāvaḥ. nanu pariṣiṣikṣatītyatra abhyāseṇaḥ parasyasasya kathaṃ ṣatvaṃ,
`stautiṇyoreve'ti niyamāt, `sthādiṣvabhyāsena ce'ti ṣatvasyāpyanena niyamena
nivṛtterityata āha– upasargādatviti. `stautiṇyoreve'ti niyamena
