pratyakṣanirdiśaymānasyaivetyarthaḥ. anayā paribhāṣayā jarāśabdasyaiva jaras. jarāśabda eva
hratra sthānī pratyakṣanirdiṣṭaḥ. jarāśabdāntasya tu
nirddeśastadantavidhilabhyatvādānumānika iti bhāvaḥ. iyañca paribhāṣā `ṣaṣṭhī
sthāneyoge'ti sūtrasiddhārthakathanapareti tatraiva bhāṣye spaṣṭam. nanu nirjaraśabdasya
jarāśabdāntatvā'bhāvātkathamiha jarasādeśa ityata āha–ekadeśeti. `chinne'pi pucche

dūṣayitumanuvadati–vṛttikṛtā tvityādinā. `pūrvavipratiṣedhenetyādi
keci'dityanto vṛttigranthaḥ. vṛttikṛtā tu inātoḥ kṛtayorjarasi kṛte
nirjarasāditi rūpaṃ, na tu nirjarasa iti kecidityuktamityanvayaḥ. nanu inādeśamādādeśaṃ
ca paratvādbādhitvā jarasi kṛte.ñadantatvā'bhāvātkathaminātau syātāmityata āha–
pūrvavipratiṣedheneti. vipratiṣedhe pūrvasya pravṛttiryatra bodhyate tat
pūrvapratiṣedhaṃ=`vipratiṣedhe paraṃ kārya'miti sūtraṃ tenetyarthaḥ. tatra
paraśabdasyeṣṭavācitvamāśritya vipratiṣedhe kvacitpūrvasya kāryasya
pravṛttyabhyupagameneti yāvat॥ nanvinātoḥ kṛtayoḥ kataṃ jarasādeśaḥ,
saṃnipātaparibhāṣāvirodhādityata āha–saṃnipātaparibhāṣāyā iti. tatheti. bhisa aisādeśe
jarasādeśā'bhāvapakṣe nirjarairiti rūpam. saṃnipātaparibhāṣāyā antyatvājjarasi kṛte tu
nirjarasairiti rūpāntaramuktamityarthaḥ. tadanusāribhiti. nirjarasinetyādi rūpaṃ
yairuktaṃ tadanusāribhirityarthaḥ. nirjarasyetyeveti. pūrvavipratiṣedhena syādeśe
kṛte'jādivibhaktyabhāvānna jaras. inātoḥ pūrvavipratiṣedhe āśrite sati
ekasūtropāttatvātsyādeśaviṣaye'pi pūrvavipratiṣedha āśrayitumucitaḥ. ato
nirjarasyetyekameva rūpaṃ,na tu `nirjarasa' ityapīti bhāvaḥ.\r\netacceti.
vṛttikṛdutprekṣitaṃ keṣāṃcinmataṃ, tadanusārimataṃ cetyarthaḥ. bhāṣyaviruddhamiti.
`ṭāṅasiṅasāminātsyāḥ' ityatra nādeśa eva vidheyaḥ, ikāroccāraṇaṃ māstu. tathā adādeśa
eva vidheyo natu dīrgha āditi. rāmeṇetyatra ekārastu yogavibhāgādbhavati, tathāhi
`bahuvacane jhalyet' `osi ca' `āṅi cāpaḥ' `saṃbuddhau ce'ti sūtrakramaḥ. tatra āṅīti
yogavibhāgaḥ kriyate. ata ekāraḥ syādaṅi. rāmeṇa. `āpaḥ saṃbuddhau ce'ti sūtrakramaḥ.

"pūrvavipratiṣedhenetyādi keci"dityanto vṛttigranthaḥ. vṛttikṛtā tu inātoḥ kṛtayorjarasi kṛte nirjarasāditi rūpaṃ, na tu nirjarasa iti kecidityuktamityanvayaḥ. nanu inādeśamādādeśaṃ ca paratvādbādhitvā jarasi kṛte.ñadantatvā'bhāvātkathaminātau syātāmityata āha--pūrvavipratiṣedheneti. vipratiṣedhe pūrvasya pravṛttiryatra bodhyate tat pūrvapratiṣedhaṃ="vipratiṣedhe paraṃ kārya"miti sūtraṃ tenetyarthaḥ. tatra paraśabdasyeṣṭavācitvamāśritya vipratiṣedhe kvacitpūrvasya kāryasya pravṛttyabhyupagameneti yāvat॥ nanvinātoḥ kṛtayoḥ kataṃ jarasādeśaḥ, saṃnipātaparibhāṣāvirodhādityata āha--saṃnipātaparibhāṣāyā iti. tatheti. bhisa aisādeśe jarasādeśā'bhāvapakṣe nirjarairiti rūpam. saṃnipātaparibhāṣāyā antyatvājjarasi kṛte tu nirjarasairiti rūpāntaramuktamityarthaḥ. tadanusāribhiti. nirjarasinetyādi rūpaṃ yairuktaṃ tadanusāribhirityarthaḥ. nirjarasyetyeveti. pūrvavipratiṣedhena syādeśe kṛte'jādivibhaktyabhāvānna jaras. inātoḥ pūrvavipratiṣedhe āśrite sati ekasūtropāttatvātsyādeśaviṣaye'pi pūrvavipratiṣedha āśrayitumucitaḥ. ato nirjarasyetyekameva rūpaṃ,na tu "nirjarasa" ityapīti bhāvaḥ.etacceti. vṛttikṛdutprekṣitaṃ keṣāṃcinmataṃ, tadanusārimataṃ cetyarthaḥ. bhāṣyaviruddhamiti. "ṭāṅasiṅasāminātsyāḥ" ityatra nādeśa eva vidheyaḥ, ikāroccāraṇaṃ māstu. tathā adādeśa eva vidheyo natu dīrgha āditi. rāmeṇetyatra ekārastu yogavibhāgādbhavati, tathāhi "bahuvacane jhalyet" "osi ca" "āṅi cāpaḥ" "saṃbuddhau ce"ti sūtrakramaḥ. tatra āṅīti yogavibhāgaḥ kriyate. ata ekāraḥ syādaṅi. rāmeṇa. na ca `jarāyā asu'ṅevā'stviti vācyam. jarāśabdāt `tatkarotī'ti ṇici `ṇāviṣṭavat-
-' iti ṭilope tataḥ kvipi ṇilope caikadeśavikṛtasyānanyatayā `ja'rityasya
jarāśabdatvādasuṅi sati `ṅicce'tyantyasya pravṛttyā `jasau' iti rūpāpatteḥ.
iṣyate tvatrāpi `jarasau' `jarasa' iti. na ca ṇilopasya
sthānivadbhāvādvibhaktiparatvā'bhāvena `jarasā'vityādi na sidhyatīti vācyam, `kvau
luptaṃ na sthāniva'diti niṣedhāt. yadyapi `kvau luptaṃ na sthāniva'diti kvācitkaṃ,
tathāpīha tadāśrayaṇe `jara'siti gurvādeśakaraṇameva mānamityavadheyam.
iti. paribhāṣeyaṃ `yena vidhi'rityasya prapañcabhūtā. ataeva manoramāyāṃ padamaṅgaṃ ca
viśeṣyaṃ, viśeṣaṇena ca tadantavidhi'rityuktam. `viśeṣya'miti tu prāyeṇeti
bodhyam. tena `allopo'naḥ' iti sūtre `aṅgāvayavo yo''niti vakṣyamāṇagranthaḥ
[svarasataḥ] saṅgacchate. atra navyāḥ–`nanvākāre `tasya taduttarapadasya ce'ti pracuraḥ
pāṭhaḥ. `tadantasya ce'ti pāṭhe tu bahucpūrvakeṣu na pravartanta ityāśayena
phalitārthakathanaparatayā `taduttarapadasya ce'ti paṭhitaṃ na tvidamapūrvaṃ vacana'miti. sopasargasya
sarvasya sthāne jarasādeśamāśaṅkyāha.
jarāśabdāntaṃ yadaṅgaṃ tatraiva nirdiśyamānajarāśabde jarasādeśena bhavitavyaṃ, na
tvanyatretyata āha-ekadeśavikṛtasyeti. padādhikāre'pi tadantavidhābudāharaṇaṃ–tadantasyāpi
rutvaratve `dīrghāhā nidāgha' iti vakṣyati. `aluguttarapade'
ityayamuttarapadādhikāro'pi padādhikāragrahaṇena gṛhrate. tatphalaṃ tu tatraiva
sphuṭīkariṣyati. pakṣe iti. jarasādeśabhāve.
`nirjarasine'tyādi vyācakṣate tanmatānusāribhirityarthaḥ. nirjarasyetyeveti.

teṣāmāśayaḥ. ataeva `vītajanmajarasaḥ paraṃ śucibrāhṛṇaḥ pada'miti bhāraviprayogamasamañjasaṃ matvā
`vītajanmarajasaḥ' iti paṭhanīyamiti tairuktam. etacceti. bhāṣyakṛtāhi `ṭāṅsī'ti sūtre
inātau pratyākhyāya, nādeśamadādeśaṃ ca vidhāya, nādeśe pare etvam `āṅi ce'ti yogaṃ
vibhajya sādhitam. tathā ca nirjarasinaḥ' nirjarasā'dityetadbhāṣyaviruddhamiti spaṣṭameva.
na ca nādeśe kṛte hali lopapravṛttyā `anene'tyetanna sidhyatīti śaṅkyam, naśabde
parato viśiṣyā'nādeśavidhānāt. tathāhi `anāpyakaḥ; ityatra `an-nāpi' iti padacchedaḥ.
napuṃsakatvātsorluki nalopaḥ. `nāpī'ti samāhāradvandvātsaptamyekavacanam. na ca
ṅaseradādeśe kṛte pararūpaṃ syādityapi śaṅkyam ,
akāroccāraṇasāmathryāddīrghasaṃbhavāt. tathā `jarāyā jarasanyatarasyā'mityasminneva
sūtre bhāṣye uktam-`atijarairiti bhavitavyaṃ saṃnipātaparibhāṣaye'ti. tataśca
`nirjarasai'rityapi bāṣyaviruddhameva. etena `ato bhisaḥ' iti sūtre `e'siti vaktavye
aiskaraṇaṃ `nirjarasai'riti rūpārthamiti keṣāṃcidvyākhyānaṃ prāmādikamiti
