śeṣaḥ. atra māṇavake gauṇakarmaṇi, dharme vā pradhānakarmaṇi ṇyantāllakāraḥ. bhakṣārthasya
tu aśyante devā amṛtaṃ hariṇā, aśyate'mṛtaṃ devāniti vā udāhāryam. śabdakarmasya
tu vedo'dhyāpyate vidhaiṃ hariṇā, vedamadhyāpyate vidhiriti vetyudāhāryam. yaduktaṃ
`gatyarthānāmakarmakāṇāṃ hmakṛñoścetyeteṣāṃ prayojyakarmaṇi lakāra' iti. tatra
gatyarthasyodāharati– devadatto grāmaṃ gamyate iti. `yajñadattene'ti śeṣaḥ. atra

lo, na tu māse karmaṇītyudāhariṣyate. evaṃ tarhi aṇyanteṣkarmakeṣu `māsamāsyate
devadattene'ti bhāve lakāro na syāt, `sakarmakebhyaḥ karmaṇi kartari ca la' iti niyamāt.
`māsa āsyate devadattene'tyeva karmaṇi lakāraḥ syādityāśaṅkya āha-
- akarmakāṇāmityādi.ye akarmakāḥ `karturīpsitatamaṃ karma', `tathāyuktaṃ
cānīpsita'miti sūtrasiddhakarmarahitāḥ `āsa upaveśane', `vṛtu vartane' ityādayaḥ,
teṣām `akarmakadhātubhiryoge' iti vārtikasiddhakarmaṇāṃ karmaṇi bhāve ca lakāra iṣyate
