netareṣām, avyabhicārāt. tadāha— upadeśe yo'jiti. `a' jityasyaṃ
upadeśānvayitve'pi sautraḥ samāsaḥ. `a'jiti luptaṣaṣṭhīkaṃ vā. `ciṇva'diti
saptamyantādvanatiḥ, `syasicsīyuṭtāsiṣvi'tyupameyataḥ saptamīdarśanāt. tadāha-
- ciṇīveti. aṅgakāryamiti. aṅgasyetyadhikṛtatvāditi bhāvaḥ. `bhāvakarmavāciṣu
syādiṣvi' ti nārthaḥ,sīyuṭo liṅāgamatayā bhāvakarmavācitve'pi syasictāsīnāṃ
bhāvakarmavācitvā'bhāvāt. nāpi `bhāvakarmavācini pratyaye pare ye

ṇirnityaścāyaṃ valnimitto vighātī॥' iti. syasicsīyuḍiti sūtrasya vṛddhyādi
prayojanamityarthaḥ. tatra vṛdiṃ?dha darśayati– ciṇvadbhāvādvṛddhiriti. luṭi bhū tā
iti sthite ciṇvattvāt `aco'ñṇitī'ti vṛddhirityarthaḥ. iḍāgamaścetyapi
bodhyam. tatphalaṃ tu vakṣyate. tathā dādhātorluṭi `āto yuk ciṇkṛto' riti yuk.
tathā lṛṭi `ghāniṣyate' ityatra `hohanterñṇinneṣu' iti ghatvam.
śamerhetumaṇṇynatālluṭi–śāmitā śamitetyatra `ciṇṇamulo'riti vā dīrghaḥ. tathā
anenaivā'tra iṭi kṛte tasya ābhīyatvenā'siddhatvādaniṭīti niṣedhā'bhāvāṇṇilopaḥ. tathā
`bhāviṣyate' ityatra bhū-sya iti sthite paramapi valādilakṣaṇaṃ iṭaṃ bādhitvā
nityatvādanena iṭ, valnimitte iṭi kṛte'kṛte ca ciṇvadiṭaḥ pravṛttyā
kṛtā'kṛtaprasaṅgitvāt. valādilakṣaṇastviṇna nityaḥ, ciṇvadiṭi kṛte valāditvasya
vihatatvena valādilakṣamasya iṭo'pravṛtteḥ. nityaścāyamityasya `ciṇvadi'ḍiti śeṣaḥ.
`valnimitta ityanantaram `iḍanitya ita śeṣaḥ. anityatve hetuḥ– `vighātīti.
ciṇvadiṭo valādinimittavighātakatvādityarthaḥ. evaṃ ca seṭkatve'pyanenaiva iṭ.
