gopāyaśabdasya dhātutvāddhātoranta udātto bhavati.tataḥ śabakāreṇaikāśe'pi `ekādeśa
udāttane'tyudātta eva,takārā'kārastu `tāsyanudāttenṅidadupadeśāt' ityanudāttaḥ.
tataśca `udāttādanudāttasye'ti svarito bhavati. `svaritātsaṃhitāyāmanudāttānā'miti
`na' ityasya ekaśrutiḥ. āyapratyayasya anadantatvetu nedamiṣṭaṃ sidhyatīti.
stutāveveti. bhaṭṭistu vyavahāre'pi āyaṃ prayuṅktaṃ–`na copalebhe vaṇijāṃ
paṇāyā'miti. vaṇijāṃ vyavahāramityarthaḥ. `a pratyayā'
dityāyapratyayāntādakārapratyaye ṭāp. cakṣaṃsa iti. iha `anunāsikasya
kvijhalo'rityupadhādīrgho na kṛtaḥ, saṃjñāpūrvakavidheranityatvāditi sthitasya
gatimutprekṣayanti.
