"ḍhralope"-ityato "dīrgha" ityanuvatrtate. dīrghaśrutyopasthitenā'ca ityanenāṅgasyeti viśeṣyate. viśeṣaṇena na tadantavidhiḥ. tadetadāha-ajantāṅgasyetyādi. arthavadgrahaṇaparibhāṣayā "nāmī"ti nuṭ sahita evā''m gṛhrate. tena pāmanām, aṅganāmityādau na bhavati. tatra hi pāmādilakṣaṇe napratyaye ṭāpi dvitīyaikavacane ca kṛte trayāṇāmapi pratyayānāṃ pratyekamarthavattve'pi "nā"miti samudāyasyānarthakatvāt. yadyapi nalopasyā'siddhatvādanena "pāmanā"mityatra dīrghaḥ supariharaḥ, tathāpi "nopadhāyāḥ" ityanena tu syādeveti bodhyam. "catasṛṇā"mityatra "ṣaṭcatubhryaśca" ityanenaiva nuṭsiddheḥ. "hyasvanadyāpaḥ"--iti sūtre "trestrayaḥ" ityataḥ "tre"rityanuvarttya triśabdātparasyāmo nuḍiti vyākhyānāttisṛṇāmityatrāpi tatsiddheḥ. yadyapi nṛṇāmityatra prayojanamasti, tathāpi naikamudāharaṇaṃ prayojayati. anyathā "nṛnadyāpaḥ" ityeva vadet. tasmādādamītyuktau na kiṃcidbādhakamastītyāmaḥ sanakārasya grahaṇaṃ vyarthamiti cet, atrocyate, uttarārthaṃ sanakāragrahaṇaṃ kartavyaṃ, "nopadhāyāḥ" iti dīrgho na nuḍbhavet. vacanādyatra tannāsti nopadhāyāśca varmaṇām" iti. atra vadanti-vacanādbhūtapūrvagatyāśrayaṇena tatpravṛttirityetaccintyam. gauṇatve "ṣaṭcatubhryaśca" iti nuṭo'pravṛttyā "priyacatasṛṇā"mityatra nuḍarthaṃ hyasvavacanasya caritārthatvena sāmathryasyopakṣayāt. tatra hi "numacira-" iti rādeśātpūrvavipratiṣedhena nuḍiṣyata iti. tadayuktam. "ṛnnadyāpaḥ" iti sūtrite'pi ṛdantānnuṭ sidhyatyeveti hyasvagrahaṇasāmathryasyānupakṣīṇatvāditi dik. paribhāṣāvirodhāditi. "kṛtākṛtaprasaṅgitvena "nāmi" iti dīrghasyāpyanityatvāt. ārambhasāmathryāditi. "supi ca" ityasya tu na sāmathryaṃ, rāmābhyāmityādau sāvakāśatvāditi bhāvaḥ. nanu "katīnā"mityatra paratvāt "ṣaṭcatubhryaśca" iti nuṭi "nāmi" iti dīrghaḥ sannipātaparibhāṣāmabādhitvaiva pravartata ityārambhasāmathryasyopakṣayāt "nāmi" iti sūtramapi "rāmāṇā"mityatra sannipātaparibhāṣayā na pravartate. tathā ca "ācāryāṇām" iti nirdeśenoktaparibhāṣāyā anityatvamāśritya "supi ca" iti dīrgha eva paratvātpravartatāmiti cet. atra kecitsamādhayanti-catugrrahaṇasāhacaryāddhalantaṣaṭsaṃjñakādeva parasyāmaḥ ṣaṭsaṃjñāśrayo nuḍbhavati na tu katiśabdātparasyāmaḥ, tathā ca "katīnā"mityatra hyasvāśraya eva nuḍityārambhasāmathryaṃ nopakṣīṇamiti. tadapare na kṣamante. repho yathā halsaṃjñakastathā amsaṃjñako'pi bhavatītyamantaṣaṭsaṃjñakādeva parasyāmaḥ ṣaṭsaṃjñāśrayo nuḍbhavati na tu priyapañcāṃ priyaṣaṣāmityādāviti siddhāntādbahiraṅga ṣaṭsaṃjñāyo nuṭ. tathā cāntaraṅgatvātkatīnāmityatra hyasvāśraya eva nuḍiti "nāmi" iti dīrghaḥ sannipātaparibhāṣāṃ bādhitvaiva pravartate, tataścāpambhasāmathryāditi mūloktagranthasya na kāpyamupapattiriti samādadhuḥ. itare tu "ārambhasāmathryā"dityasyāyamartho "na tisṛcatasṛ" iti niṣedhārambhasāmathryāditi. "tisṛṇā"mityatra hyasvāntalakṣaṇe nuṭi kṛte "nāmi" iti dīrghapravṛttau hi "na tisṛ-" iti niṣedha ārabhyate. sannipātaparibhāṣayā dīrghā'pravṛttau tu kimanena niṣedhena?. ato jñāyate "nāmi" iti dīrgha saṃnipātaparibhāṣāṃ bādhata iti. yaistu "hyasvanadyāpaḥ-" ityatra hyasvagrahaṇaṃ pratyākhyāyate, taistu "nāmi" iti dīrghe ārambhasāmathryaṃ nāśrayaṇīyameva.
