prākkrītiyeṣvartheṣu. chasya apavādaḥ. śaṅkavyaṃ dāru. picavyaḥ kārpāsaḥ.
kamaṇḍalavyā mṛttikā. gavādibhyaḥ khalvapi gavyam. haviṣyam. sanaṅgurnāma carmavikāraḥ.
tataḥ paratvāt carmaṇo 'ñ 5-1-15 ityeṣa vidhiḥ prāpnoti. tathā carurnāma haviḥ,
sakturannavikāraḥ. apūpādiṣu annavikārebhyaśca iti paṭhyate. tato vibhāṣā
havirapūpā'dibhyaśca 5-1-3 ityeṣa vidhiḥ prāpnoti. tatra sarvatra
pūrvavipratiṣedhena yatpratyayeva iṣyate, sanaṅgavyaṃ carma, caravyāstaṇḍulāḥ,

"annavikārebhyaśca" iti. apūpādilakṣaṇāsya pkṣīkasya yato'vakāśaḥ--apūpyāstaṇḍulāḥ, apūpīyā iti, uvarṇāntalakṣaṇasya sa eva; carurnāma havirviśeṣaḥ; saktuścānnavikāraḥ, tata ubhayaprasaṅge paratvāt? "vibhāṣā havirapūpādibhyaḥ" 5.1.4 iti havirlakṣaṇo'nnavikāralakṣaṇaśca vidhiḥ prāpnoti. tadevaṃ sanaṅguśabdādañ? prāptaḥ, carusaktuśabdābhyāṃ vikalpena yat(), nityaśceṣyate, tadarthaṃ pūrvavipratiṣedho bhāṣitavya iti. "orguṇaḥ" 6.4.146, "vānto yi pratyaye" 6.4.79 ityavādeśaḥ. "sanaṅgavyam()" ityādi. etacceṣṭavācitvāt? paraśabdasya labhyata ityavagantavyam().
"gavādiṣu nābi nabhañceti paṭha()te" iti. atra kasyacidiyamāśaṅkā syāt()--bhasaṃjñāpratiṣedo vidhiyata ti, tataśca yasyeti lopena bhavitavyamityata āha--"nābhiśabdo yatpratyayam()" iti. śarīrāvayavo yo nābhiśabdastatra kathaṃ bhavitavyamityāha--"yastu" ityādi. tataḥ śarīrāvayavādyati kṛte paratvāt? "nābhyaṃ tailam()" iti. nanu ca śarīrāvayavalakṣaṇe yati sati nabhabhāvaḥ kasmānna bhavatītiyāha-"gavādiṣu yatā" ityādi. sa hi gavādiyatā saha vihitaḥ. tena "sanniyogaśiṣṭānāmanyatarābāva ubhayorapyabhāvaḥ" (vya.pa.48) iti nabhabhāvo na bhavati.
"śunaḥ" ityādi. ()ānnityetasya samprasāraṇe kṛte'nnantatā'stīti "nastaddhite" 6.4.144 iti ṭilopena bhāvyameveti. evaṃ tarhi samprasāraṇasāmathryānna bhavati? naitadasti; "yaṃ vidhiṃ pratyupadeśo'narthakaḥ sa vidhirbādhyate, yastu vidernimittameva nāsau bādhyate" (vyā.pā.56) iti tadavastho doṣaḥ. dīrghavidhānasāmathryāditi cet()? evamapi pakṣe syāt().
evaṃ tahrranyathā vyākhyāyate. iha cakāradvayaṃ paṭha()te--samprasāraṇañja, vā dīrghatvañceti. dvitīyaścakārī bhinnakramaḥ samprasāraṇasamīpe draṣṭavyaḥ. sa ca samucyārtho'nyasya samuccetavyasyābhāvāt? tadeva samuccinoti. tatra samprasāraṇamekena kriyate dvitīyena tadrūpasyaivāvasthitiriti. "tatsanniyogena" ityādi. tadityanena dīrghatvaṃ pratyavamṛśyate. tena dīrghatvena yata evāntodāttatvaṃ bhavati; anyathā "yato'nāvaḥ" 6.1.207 ityādyudāttatvaṃ syāt().
