"himāraṇyayormahattve" iti. mahattvena yuktā himādayaḥ strīliṅgenābhisambadhynate yadā, tadā strītvavivakṣāyāmanayoḥ pratyayāgamayorvidhānamityetadanenākhyāyate, na tu strīpratyayasyāyamapavāda ucyate. strītva eva hi pratyayo bhavati.
"yathāddoṣe"iti. yavāddoṣe gamyamāne striyāṃ ṅīṣ bhavati-- duṣṭo yavo yavānī.
"yavanāllipyām" iti. "yavanānāṃ lipiḥ" iti. "tasyedam" 4.3.120 ityapprasaṅge ṅīṣ vidhīyate, sa tu tadarthasya ṅīṣaiva dyotitatvānna bhavati.
"ācāryadaṇatvañca" iti. nedamapūrvaṃ vaktavyam, kṣubhnādiṣvasya pāṭhāt.

kṣattriyāṇī syāditi bhāvaḥ.\r\naryakṣattriyābhyāṃ vā svārthe. vaiśyā
vetyarthaṃ iti. `aryaḥ svāmivaiśyayo'rityarthadvaye nipātanāditi bhāvaḥ. atrā'marasya
saṅgrahaḥ—`aryāṇī svayamaryā syātkṣattriyā kṣattriyāṇyapi.
upādhyāyā'pyupādhyāyī syādācāryāpi ca svataḥ. ācāryānī su puṃyode syādaryī
kṣattriyī tathā. upādhyāyā'pyupādhyāyī—'iti. kathamiti. sūtre
brāhṛānśabdasyā'grahaṇādānuganupapanna eveti praśnaḥ. uttaraṃ tu—
brāhṛāṇamānayatītyādi. ṇyantāt `ana prāṇane'ityasmātkarmaṇyaṇi `ṇeraniṭī'ti
ṇilope `ṭiḍḍhāṇa'ñiti ṅīpi `pūrvapadāksaṃjñāyā'miti ṇatve ca `brāhṛāṇī'ti
rūpasiddheriti bhāvaḥ.
