"apatyamiti vyapadeśo'yam" iti. saṃjñina iti śeṣaḥ. taccottarasūtra ityabhiprāyaḥ. iha tu pautrasyāpatyatvāvyabhicārāt tadapatyameva pratyayāntaiḥ vijñāyata iti nārthaḥ saṃjñivyapedaśārthenāpatyagrahaṇena. uttarasūtre tu pautraprabhṛtyetat ṣaṣṭha()ntaṃ vipariṇamya pautraprabhṛteḥ sambandhino'patyasya yuvasaṃjñeṣyate, sā cāpatyagrahaṇamantareṇa na labhyate. anyadapi hrapatyāt pautraprabhṛteḥ sambandhyasti, tatra na jñāyate-- kasyeyaṃ saṃjñeti? atastatra saṃjñino vyapadeśāya yuktamapatyagrahaṇamityeke.
iha tu saṃjñivyapedaśārthaṃ yuktamapatyagrahaṇaṃ paśyāmaḥ. asati hrapatyagrahaṇe sambnadhiśabdatvādapatyaśabdasyetyādi yaduktaṃ codyanirāsāya tadaghaṭamānaṃ syāt. tataśca gargasyāpi gotrasaṃjñā syādeva. tasmādihāpi saṃjñivyapeśāyāpatyagrahaṇaṃ katrtavyameva, apatyarūpeṇa pratibhāsamānasya saṃjñā yathā syāt.
"anyasya mā bhūt" iti. nanu ca tasmādeva tatprakṛtamapatyagrahaṇaṃ tadeva saṃjñivyadeśāya bhaviṣyati, tat kimapareṇāpatyagrahaṇena? naitadasti; taddhi pratyayārthatayā pkṛtaṃ kathaṃ saṃjñino vyapadeśāya syāt; syādetat yadyapi tatpratyayārthe kṛtaṃ tathāpi tasyehānuvṛttas tatprayojanaṃ nāstītyataḥ saṃjñivyapadeśāya vijñāsyata iti?etacca nāsti; uttarārthaṃ hradhikārāṇāmanuvṛttirdṛśyate,vyākhyānañcaivaṃ katrtavyaṃ syāt, vyākhyānācca vacanameva laghutaramityapatyagrahaṇaṃ katrtavyam.
