"tatkaroti tadācaṣṭe" ityakatreva "tadasyāstyasmi" nnitakyatrāpyekatvavartamānatvayoravivakṣitatvātprakṛtasūtrānapekṣayaiva tatsiddheḥ. na hratra matubbidhau "vartamāne la"ḍityādāviva kālaviśeṣaparigraho'stītyāhuḥ. tadbhāṣyakaiyaṭādyananuguṇam. tadhā hi bhāṣye-- pratyaya ityanuvartamāne punaratra pratyayagrahaṇaṃ kimarthamityākṣipya adhātupratyayānāmapi saṃbandhe sādhutvaṃ yathā syāt, gomānāsīt bhavitā veti samāhitam. kaiyaṭena tu-- "tadasyāstyasminniti matup pratyayovartamānasattāviśiṣṭaprakṛtyarthayukto vihita" ityuktam. tathā ca matubvidhāvastītyatra ekatvasyā'vivakṣatatve'pi vartamānatvaṃ vivakṣitamiti tadgranthabalādavagamyate. kiṃ ca "daṇḍinamānaye" tyukte vartamānasattāviśiṣṭadaṇḍayukta evānīyate nā'nyaḥ. tathā ca "āsīt" "bhavite" ti tiṅantapadānurodena "gomā"nityatra gāvo'syāsan gāvo'sya bhavitāra ityatītānāgatasattāviśiṣṭaprakṛtyarthayukto matuppratyayaḥ prakṛtasūtreṇaiva va#idhīyate na tu taduktarītyā labhyata iti dik. nanu tattadvidhivākyaireva svaviṣaye pratyayāḥ siddhāḥ kimanena sūtreṇetyata āha-- atra kāla iti. "vartamānasāmīpye" ityārabhya kālā'nyatvaṃ prāyeṇa pratipādyate tadeva ceha gṛhrata iti bhāvaḥ. "vanāni paśyan yayā" vityādau vartamānabhūtakālādipratyayeṣu ko vā svakālātpracyuto bhavatītyākaṅkṣāyāmāha--tiṅantavācyeti. pradhānānurodhena guṇasya nayanamucitaṃ na tu viparītamiti bhāvaḥ. pratyayā iti. kālāntarabhājo bhavanantītyarthaḥ. bhūte laḍiti. evaṃ coṣitvā dadarśetrthaḥ. atīteti. atītavāsakartā kartā yasya darśanasyeti bahuvrīhiḥ. somayājīti. "karaṇe yajaḥ" iti bhaviṣyati ṇiniḥ. ata evāha-- somena yakṣyamāṇa iti. evaṃ ca "paśyan yayā" vityatra dṛśerbhūte laṭ. dṛṣṭvā yayāvityarthaḥ. "nivedayiṣyato mano na vivyathe" ityatra tu vedaterbhūte lṛṭ. tasya "lṛṭaḥ sadvāṭa iti śatṛpratyayaḥ. nivedanaṃ kṛtavata ityartha ityādyūhram.syādetat "bhāvi kṛtyamāsī"dityatra sūtrarītyā "bhāvi"śabdasya bhūtakālatve svīkṛte satyatītaṃ bhavanamityarthādāsīcchabdasyāpyekartṛkamatītaṃ bhavanamitayarthādbhāvyāsīcchabdayoryugapatprayogo na syāt, bhāviśabdārthasya āsīcchabdenaiva lābhāt. tataścaitāvantaṃ kālaṃ bhāvitayā vyavahmataṃ tadidānīmāsīdityartho'trāvaśyaṃ svīkartavyaḥ. svīkṛte tu "gomānāsī"dityatrāpi gomāniti vyavahāraviṣaya āsīdityartho'stu. "vasan dadarśe" ityādau bhūte lakṣaṇayā yathāyathaṃ laḍādiḥ svīkartavyaḥ. "somayājī" tyatra tu bhūta eva ṇinipratyaye jāte'pi bhaviteti luḍantasamabhivyāhāre sati somayājīti vyavahariṣyamāṇa ityadhyāhāreṇa,ṇinerbhaviṣyadarthe lakṣamayā vā prayogo bhavediti kimanena sūtreṇeti cet. atrāhuḥ-- adhyāhāralakṣaṇāprayuktakleśaṃ vinaiva prāyaśo nirvāhārthaḥ sūtrārambhaḥ. na hi "bhāvi kṛtyamāsī"dityādau kvacidadhyāhārādikamagatyā bhavatīti sarvatra tatsvīkartumucitamiti.
