"pauravaṃ gāṃ bhikṣate" iti. "bhikṣa yācñāyām" (dhā.pā.606) anudāttet. ata kimartha yācibhikṣyodrvayorupādānam, yāvatā'nayorarthabhedo nāsti? na ceyaṃ saṃjñā śbadāśrayā, kiṃ tarhi? athaśriyā. tathā hi- yācinā samānārthasyānyasyāpi grahaṇaṃ bhavati-- devadattaṃ śataṃ prārthayate, devadattaṃ śataṃ mṛgayata iti. tasmāt satyapi śabdebhede na yuktaṃ tayoḥ pṛthaggrahaṇam. evaṃ tarhi yāciratrānunaye vatrtate-- tana kruddhaṃ yācate, avinītaṃ yācata iti, tadarthaṃ pṛthaggrahaṇaṃ syāt.
"vṛkṣamavacinoti phalāni" iti. nanu cātra vihitā'pādānasaṃjñā tathā hi-- vṛkṣāt phalānyādata ityapāyo'trārthaḥ,naitadasti; na hratra vṛkṣo'vadhitvana vivakṣitaḥ. kintarhi? phalāvacayanasya hetubhāvamātreṇa. vṛkṣeṇa hetunā phalāvacayanaṃ karotyarthaḥ. tasya vṛkṣasya hetubhāvaḥ kimavadhibhūtasya? adhikaraṇabhūtasya vā? ityevamādikā cintā na kṛtā.
evaṃ "māṇavakaṃ dharmaṃ brāūte, māṇavakaṃ dharmamanuśāsti" iti. "brāūñ vyaktāyāṃ vāci" (dhā.pā.1044), "śāsu anuśiṣṭau" (dhā.pā.1075) adādī. nanu ca kathitātra sampradānasaṃjñā, asti hratra sampradānatvam, sampradeyena dharmeṇābhipreyamāṇatvāt, naitadasti; dadātikarmaṇābhipreyamāṇasya sampradānasaṃjñā vihitā, na cātra dharmo dadātikarma; brāuviśāsyoradānārthatvāt. athāpi dānārthatā syāt? evamapi māṇavekana nimittena dharmaṃ dadātītyayamarthaḥ syāt. māṇavakasya sampradānatvanāvivakṣitatvāt; dharmadānanimittatvena vivakṣitatvāt.
brāuviśāsiguṇena ceti cakāro'nuktasamuccayārthaḥ. tena nayatiprabhṛtīnāṃ prayoge'pyakathitasya karmasaṃjñeṣyate.tathā coktam--
nīvahroharateścaiva gatyarthānāṃ tathaiva ca.
dvikarmakeṣu grahaṇaṃ draṣṭavyamiti niścayaḥ॥ iti.
atrāpi śloke cakāro jayatiprabhṛtīnāṃ prayoge'kathitasya samuccayārthaḥ.
kimudāharaṇam? ajāṃ nayati grāmaṃ devadattaḥ. ajāṃ vahati grāmaṃ devadattaḥ. ajāṃ harati grāmaṃ devadattaḥ. śataṃ jayati devadattaṃ yajñadattaḥ. śataṃ gargān daṇ()ḍayatīti. nanu cobhayeṣāmapi "kartturīpsitatamaṃ karma" 1.4.49 ityanenaiva karmasaṃjñā siddhā. yadi tahrrajādīnāmīpsitatamatvaṃ vivakṣyate, na grāmādīnām, tadā kathaṃ karmasaṃjñā? tathāpi "tathāyuktam" 1.4.50 ityanena siddhā. yadā tarhi grāmādīnāmīpsitatvaṃ prakarṣarahitaṃ vivakṣyate, tadā na siddhyati. akarmakāṇāñca dhātūnāṃ kālabhāvādhnagantavyadeśānāṃ karmasaṃjñeṣyate. tathā coktam--
kālabhāvādhvagantavyāḥ karmasaṃjñā hrakarmaṇām.
daśāścākarmakāṇāñca karmasaṃjñā bhavanti ca॥

tasmāt tadartho'nuktasamuccayārthaścakāraḥ kṛtaḥ kālaḥ -- māsamāste māsaṃ svapitīti. bhāvaḥ-- godohamāste, godohaṃ kasvapitīti. adhvā gantavyaḥ-- krośamāste,
