"hyasvo napuṃsake prātipadikasya" 1.2.47 ityatrācā prātipadikaṃ gṛhramāṇaṃ viśiṣyate-- ajantasya prātipadikasyeti, na tu prātipadikenā-jviśiṣyate. yadi hi prātipadikenājviśiṣyeta-- prātipadikasya yo'jiti, tadā madhyasthitasyāpyaco hyasvaḥ syāt.

"saṃjñāvidhāne niyamaḥ" ityatra yuktimāha-- "ajiti vatrtate" iti. ajgrahaṇe hranuvatrtamāne hyasvādiśabdā anuvatrtamānā aca evopasthānaṃ prati vyāpriyante;tasya svayamevopasthitatvāt. tataśca svarūpamātrapadārthakāḥ santo vidhīyamānasyāco viśeṣaṇatāmupayānti. tatraivamabhisambandhaḥ kriyate-- aḥ sthāne'j bhavati "hyasvadīrghaplutaḥ ityevaṃ saṃjñayā vidhīyamāna iti.
