bhavatī'ti bhāvāṃṣamanūdya `pakṣe na bhavatī'tyabhāvāṃśamanūdya `pakṣe bhavatī'ti
bhāvāṃśamātrakaraṇāt. `vibhāṣā śveḥ' ityubhayatravibhāṣāyāṃ tu yadi vidhimukhena
pravṛttistarhi pitsveva samprasāraṇavikalpaḥ syāt , kitsu tu yajāditvāt
`vacisvapi-' iti nityameva syāt. atha pratiṣedhamukhena pravṛttistarhi kitsveva
pravṛttiḥ-syānna tu pitsu. naca pitsu vidhimukhena kitsu tu
niṣedhamukhenetyubhayathāpi pravṛttirastviti vācyam,
vairūpyalakṣaṇavākyabedaprasaṅgāt. saṃjñākaraṇe tu śrutakramānurodhena `ne'ti
pratiṣedhaḥ prathamaṃ kitsu pravatrtate, tataḥ kidakidrūpa sarvasmilliṭi ekarūpaṃ
prāpite sati `pakṣe bhavatī'tyakarūpeṇa vidhimukhenaiva pravartate. itīti kim ?
ghusaṃjñāvat `svaṃ rūpa'miti vacanācchabdasya saṃjñā mā bhūt. tathāhi sati `vibhāṣā
śveḥ' ityasya navāśabdaḥ \ufffdāyaterādeśa ityarthaḥ syāt. itiśabde tu sati arthaḥ
saṃjñīti labhyate. tathāhi-loke hrarthapradhānaḥ śabdaḥ. `gaurityayamāhe'tyādau tu
śabdasvarūpaparaḥ saṃpadyate. vyākaraṇe tu `svaṃ rūpa'miti
paribhāṣāṇātsvarūpaparatvamautsargikam. itiśabdasamabhivyāhāre tvarthaparateti viśeṣaḥ.
idamevotiśabdasya padārthaviparyāsakatvaṃ nāma. saṃjñātvamarthasyaiva natu
vibhāṣāśabdasyeti vyākhyānasya `hmakroranyatarasyā'-mityādau vairūpyoddhāraḥ phalam.
ubhayatravibhāṃṣā hi tatsūtram, abhyavapūrvasya haraterbhakṣaṇārthatvādvikārārthasya
karoterakarmakatvācca `gatibuddhī'tyādinā aṇau karturṇau karmatve prāpte
arthāntare cā'prāpte tadārambhāt. udāhmataṃ ca bhāṣye-`prāpte tāvat-
abhyavahārayati saindhavān, abhyavahārayati saindhavaiḥ. vikārayata#i saindhavān, vikārayati
saindhavaiḥ. aprāpte tu-harati bhāraṃ devadattaḥ, hārayati bhāraṃ devadattam, hārayati bhāraṃ
devadattena. karoti kaṭaṃ devadattaḥ, kārayati kaṭaṃ devadattam , kārayati kaṭaṃ devadattene'ti
