Definition: धन्वन्तरिः 1 Name of the physician of the gods, said to have been produced at the churning of the ocean with a cup of nectar in his hand; cf. चतुर्दशरत्न. -2 Name of the nine Ratnas at the court of Vikramāditya. -3 Name of a deity to whom oblations were offered to the North-east quarter; Ms.3.85. -4 Name of the sun; Mb.3.3.25.
