Definition: Is an epithet of Indra as connected with the Kuśikas,’ and also of Viśvāmitra as ‘son of Kuśika. A teacher named Kauśika is mentioned as a pupil of Kaundinya in the first two Vamśas (lists of teachers) of the Brhadāranyaka Upanisad.
