camasaḥ चमसः

Definition: चमसः सम् [चमत्यस्मिन्, चम्-असच् Tv.] 1 A vessel (can, ladle &c.) used at sacrifices for drinking the Soma juice; Y.1.183 (also चमसी); इडोदरे चमसाः कर्ण- रन्ध्रे Bhāg.3.13.36. -2 A cake made of barley, rice &c. -Comp. -अध्वर्युः the priest who manages the drinking vessels. -उद्भेदः, -दनम् Name of place of pilgrimage where the river Sarasvatī is said to have burst forth.
