The āgama is an adventitious word element and hence differs from ādeśa, the substitute which wholly takes the place of the original or ( आदेशिन् ). Out of the several āgamas mentioned by Pāṇini, those that are marked with mute ट् are prefixed, those, marked with क्, are affixed, while those, marked with म्, are placed immediately after the last vowel of the word. kañcit dṛḍhatāpūrvakaṃ kathanaṃ yat idaṃ kāryam aham avaśyaṃ kariṣyāmi athavā kadāpi na kariṣyāmi iti।

ādhunike kāle alpīyāḥ janāḥ pratijñāṃ pūrayanti।

utsavādīnāṃ samaye vastvādīnāṃ krayavikrayārthaṃ kasmiñcit sthāne adhikānāṃ janānām ekatrīkaraṇam।

māghīpūrṇimāyāḥ dine prayāge melā bhavati।


maithunam, ratam, saṃbhogaḥ, kāmakeliḥ, ratikarma, suratam, saṅgatam, ratilakṣam, saṃveśanam, abhimānitam, gharṣitam, saṃprayogaḥ, anāratam, abrahmacaryakam, upasṛṣṭam, tribhadram, krīḍāratnam, mahāsukham, vyavāyaḥ, grāmyadharmaḥ, nidhuvanam, abhigamanam, abhigamaḥ, maithunagamanam, yābhaḥ   

strībhiḥ saha puruṣāṇāṃ ratikriyā।

anucitaṃ maithunaṃ naikāḥ vyādhīḥ utpādayanti।

asmin samāgame vividhānāṃ netṝṇāṃ sahabhāgaḥ asti।

bālakaḥ maṇḍūkaḥ maṇḍūkī ca etayoḥ madhye bhedaṃ kartum asamarthaḥ।



saḥ mārgaḥ yasmāt kimapi vastu bahiḥ āgacchati।

nirgamasya svacchatā sarvadā karaṇīyā।


aśvaḥ, turagaḥ, turaṅgaḥ, turaṅgamaḥ, vājī, hayaḥ, pītiḥ, pītī, vītiḥ, ghoṭaḥ, ghoṭakaḥ, vāhaḥ, arvā, gandharvaḥ, saindhavaḥ, saptiḥ, hariḥ   

grāmyapaśuḥ- narajātīyaḥ yaḥ vegavān asti।

aśvaḥ rathāya yujyate।

śāsakīyaṃ vyavasthāpanamaṇḍalaṃ yad janānāṃ sevārthaṃ kāryaṃ karoti ।

vyākaraṇe pratyayasya avayavarūpeṇa vihitaḥ varṇaḥ varṇasamudāyo vā yaḥ arthavān nāsti।

kenacit nigamena haṭṭe svasya bhāgaḥ pūrvaṃ san api punaḥ upalabhyante vā janaiḥ krīyate tādṛśī kriyā।
